Howdy just a little idea...

All other GISP have there customer support sections split into different games, so there would be one for CS:S one for Half-life one for unreal series....

Reason i say is because when i was with Gameservers i had the one of the biggest Affiliate accounts they had simple because i never accepted donations on average i was giving them 5-10 new customers a month for unreal 2004

And i think if all of a sud on you have a massive influx of unreal members start useing this forum asking for support then it might get a little messy

Anyway thats my little idea hope you consider it (also when i get into full swing again i will write up loads of tuts about unreal)

Cheers Luke

With regards to customer support, INX are to big to really do this, it is best if we use support tickets because then everything is in one place and is safe!

If we start getting lots of customer-to-customer posts asking for help with a specific game then it'd make sense to spin that game out into its own forum - but to be honest, c2c help isn't busy enough yet to need that, IMO.

Official support really has to be done over tickets for legal reasons (data protection etc), which only leaves 'community support' on the forums (problem solving that doesn't actually need access to the server/details)

But, as said, if we get for example a lot of UT2004 posts, then we'd probably split that into a subforum and get someone who knows a lot about that game to keep an eye on the forum.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Official support will *ALWAYS* be done via the support system as:

a) It ensures your details are kept private
b) It ensures we're talking to the account holder or authorised persons
c) It ensures we're working on the right server as your panel account is linked to support

As the community grows the plan will be to spin the forums out into game based categories instead of topic based categories, if that makes sense, so each game which has its own category will have its own "customer to customer help". Well its subject to change so who knows in the end, but thats the current intention in Olly's head ;)

It's faster to submit a support ticket than it is to post on the forums. PLUS it's MUCH faster for us to respond to that support ticket (as we have the tools already in-place on our support system) than if we were to reply to a forum thread. There's honestly no question about it.
