Hi there
Having a slight problem with custom map's. de_ghost_craft(2mb) and de_castiglion (25mb).
I have uploaded these maps to the map folder (didn't use download core as these maps are not in it)
The maps play fine but the problem is that the client's seem unable to fully download them.
Client with out these maps in their local directory get the message “missing map maps/de_castiglion.bsp disconecting “
I have already added a few maps following instruction's on this forum.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Nigel
Usually when this happens to me, I have to give everyone person who plays on my server a Link to the Map so they can download it, and put it in they're account folders/cstrike/maps. This is probably the longest and most frustrating way of doing it. I guess someone will give you a better solution to this.
Jon.

1Yeah thanks for that.
Most of the regular players have done that already.
would just like the public players to be able to play these maps aswell

Sry
A bit more reading and i found the solution.
log in download core and submit file uploading maps
Sounds llike you have a sv_downloadurl specified, but the maps are not there.
You can't have both, either they download from the server or from the url.

Sounds llike you have a sv_downloadurl specifiedyes we do.
So that meant that i had to upload the files/ maps to the download core.(as they were not allready present)
I hope this is the correct way to approach it.
It's all working fine now
thanks

sry to double post.
But :)
Is there an easier way to upload custom folders.
I'm currently looking at uploading xmas_lodge_s.bsp, again but..
it's materials file is, materials/nippertextures/xmas_lodge, and has 58 custom files vmt and vtf.
I'm aware that i can individualy up load files but is there a way of uploading a folder to download core.
Thanks
Nigel
