    Beef casarole with Guinness

This serves 4 when done with a jacket potato each and parsnips, i have pushed this to 5 but looks a little stingy

    You need

THIS WORKS BEST WITH A 2.5 LITRE CASSEROLE DISH BIGGER THE BETTER!!

    600grm of stewing steak
    1 red oinion
    1 white onion
    3 cloves of garlic
    3 small to medium carrots
    150grm of button mushrooms
    salt & pepper
    worster saurce
    5 spice mix
2 bottles or cans of stout, Guinness is best
    self rasing floor
    atora suit
    2 beef oxo cubes
    2 - 3 parsnips
    honey
    jacket potato

    what you do is
    oven on to 180c
prep ingredients, so chop onion, garlic, half or quarter mushrooms, slice up carrot cut steak into 2cm chunks
heat frying pan with olive oil in
fry off the oinion and garlic until brown
    place in casserole dish
add some more olive oil and fry mushrooms until brown and soft
    place in dish
place beef in a bag with 3 tea spoons of floor and cover
fry beef of in batches until browned keep adding oil as needed
    place in dish
turn heat up and add half a bottle to pan for 30 secs
    add to the dish
fill dish with stout until covered
    stir well
    add oxo
add seasoning to taste (spices, salt, peeper, worster sauce)
    stir again
    place in oven

stir occoastionaly and top up with guiniess as needed and leave for 2 1/2 hours
after one hour add jacket potatoes to oven after pricking with fork

cut top and tail parsnips, and slice along them into half's or quarters depending on size
    place in roasting dish
drizzle with olive oil and two to three table spoons of honey
add to over after 1 hour 50mins

Mix 50grams of suet and 100grms self raising flower with some water and a pinch of salt to make a dry but plyable paste cut into 6 to 8 balls and place in top of cassarole 20 mins before end

after 2 and a half hours serve and enjoy

like all good cassaroles the longer you leave them the better, the first time i did this i cooked it for 4 hours and the beef was fab
