How to install NoBlock Source for eventscripts

NoBlock: Source is a popular mod for Source based game servers

What is Noblock:Source

Prevents User Clipping/Blocking/Collisions: Designed for Surfing or Portals.

It has functions inside the script to activate on specified maps, or even map prefix’s.

It is very useful for Surf Maps, and works in any HL2 based game!

Ok, so first you need an FTP program… I use CuteFTP Pro, but this costs. A free solution would be FileZilla – Log on to your server using your IP, Username and Password. You should be presented with something like this:

ftp

Now head to where ever your evenscripts folder is, for me (same for counter strike: source) it’s /srcds_l/cstrike/addons/eventscripts

Next download noblock by clicking here

Next open the .zip file with your favourite extractor (in this instant i use winrar)

zip

Double click on addons and eventscripts folder, then extract the ‘noblock’ folder to your desktop (normally in you can do this by drag and dropping the folder onto your desktop)

Once you have done this upload the noblock folder to your /srcds_l/cstrike/addons/eventscripts folder (which you should already be in with your current open FTP connection) You can more than likely just drag and drop this again and it will start uploading.

Please Note

You will have to edit your es_noblock_db.txt file to dictate which maps noblock will run on, to run them on all just simply input this into the file and save:

nb

Next, INX Panel

Now head over to your INX Panel, go into the control panel of the chosen server your install this onto and click on file editor

file

Now click ‘edit’ on autoexec.cfg and input this on any spare line: es_load noblock and click save and restart your server

All Done!

Congratulations you’ve just successfully installed NoBlock: Source for evenscripts!
