Changing the startline / start map

Changing your start map really couldn’t be simpler, thanks to our custom built control panel. The first step is to login to your MyINX control panel, select the service you wish to change the start line for, you should see a screen similar to this:

Select the start line editor (as highlighted in the screen above). You should now see a screen similar to this:

Simply place the name of the map you want your server to start on in the field provided. Note: do not put the .bsp at the end, just the name of the map (in this case cs_assault). Now simply restart your game server and the start map will be changed.

What to do if it doesn’t work?

1) Check you have uploaded the map correctly if changing to a custom map, and check it exists in the appropriate folder.

2) Check you have typed the name of the map correctly (and not added .bsp on the end)

3) Your server might not be communicating with the control panel – in this case contact support and we will take a look at it for you.

    Hi.
I got my (Basic) server to day , but having problems knowing what files are going where. It’s a lot of huffing and puffing about how nice this site and menus are, but I cant quite say I agree. I find it difficult to know what files have to be uploaded, and where to. The settings are not as easy (I think) as explained throughout the INX-site. It took me hours to even find out there is several menus besides “Control Panel” under “Home”… :P

Can you please tell me (without using so much difficult words- I’m not English) what to do to get my server up and running? It says it’s running, but under “Home”-”Status” it says: “No data received!”. I get that it’s because I have to upload some files, but when I dont know what files to upload, I’m stuck. I cant connect via CoD4 or RCON to the server.

Am I supposed to upload files from my installed COD4 game on my PC? What files and where to put them? My FTP (SmartFTP) is up and running and connected, but I just need to know what files (from where) goes in what folders on my server.

A bit “unorganized” explaining of my problem(s), but I hope you can understand…:P

    Please help me.
    Thank’s!
