Disabling VAC Secure on a Counterstrike Source server
This tutorial will talk you through disabling VAC on an INX CS Source game server. Please be aware that disabling VAC on your game server will allow VAC banned players on your server – i.e. cheaters, also known as ‘hackers’!
- If you aren’t already login to your MYINX account.
- Once you are logged into MYINX, select My Services.
- Now, select the game server you’d like to disable VAC on- click control panel next to the game server.
- From the right hand menu select the Start line editor.
- On the new screen you will see a drop down. The second option VAC Secure, will have a drop down. Make sure the drop down is set to insecure.
- Click the button Apply settings.
- On the right hand menu click Home.
- Finally, restart your game server for the settings to take effect by clicking the Start / Restart button.
Your Counterstrike Source game server should now be VAC secured. If you ever wish to re-enable VAC, simply go back to the start line editor, only this time on the start line editor, set the drop down to Secure.
